MUSIC IS A HEAVENLY LANGUAGE

MUSIC IS A HEAVENLY LANGUAGE

Music go as far as touching the heart of God. Good music do, as well as bad music. This is why you can’t sing without touching his heart.

You sing good to the glory of his name, he blesses you abundantly. Remember the old saying of the early Christians “He who sings well, prays twice”.

You sing bad music, you mock him. You mock him, you curse yourself.

How about the composers?

If your song leads others to bless God, you receive a double portion of the blessings of God on every user of that music.

Now listen to the main thing about composing a piece of music

It is God that inspires the composition of a piece of music. It begins from your love for music, your willingness to learning, your patience to knowing, your courage to carry on amidst the hurdles, your joy in singing, your quiet moments of reflection; there you are inspired with the melody and lots of encounter to curl out your lyrics, your endurance in getting the divinely approved lyrics, and then your “sacrificial time”, where the song is now written.

When you lack any of these, your music lacks something. One common thing that music lack is its healing power.

You can see that I didn’t talk about dynamics and harmony. Yes, they only exist when there is melody. Time appeared sequentially towards the end of the stages. Time, is a very vital part of life.

That sacrificed Time, has so many effects on good music. It helps you concentrate, to have good reasons for the sacrifice you made. This is where harmony and dynamics now come into the music.

You need time to reflect because of its (music) great importance in heaven.

Music is the only language in heaven. This means He who sings well, practises Heavenism.

Do not rush into writing a song because a friend had written.

Do not write with the intention of yours overdoing someone else’s song.

Do not write out of envy but write out of excitement, sorrow, pity or thankfulness.

Never look at what you’ll achieve from a piece of song you neither bought nor paid for the inspiration to write, but look at how large it will help people to appreciate God.

Never consider the gain from what you never applied for but freely given, ahead of how it will give glory to God.

Wherever that song is sung, whenever that song is sung, the more it raises the singers’ and listeners’ mind to God, the more God grants you the intention you sought when you composed it.

A song must not start and finish in a day. If it requires you get part of the melody today, after some time you get more and so on, never be discouraged, that’s the secret of good music.

In a nutshell, the beauty of a good music rests in Time spent with God.

Peace in your hearts!
